The mark, and what it will not do.
The mark reads as a cave: an ascending stroke crossing a chevron, with the opening carried entirely by negative space. Every rule below follows from that one fact.
The three variants
Naming with the lockup
A 1px hairline rule, full cap height, with a gap of half the cap height either side. The initial capital is set in Outfit and the remainder in Poppins, both at 400. Never bold the product word: equal weight is what makes it read as part of the drawn name.
The rules
- One colour, always
- The mark fills with currentColor: ink on paper, paper on carbon. The cave only exists because of the space the strokes do not fill, so a second colour competes with that read and collapses at small sizes.
- Never retype the name
- The wordmark is a drawing. Setting Cahaves in Archivo beside the real logo looks like a mistake, because it is one. The product word after the rule is the only part that is typeset.
- The mark holds to 32px
- Below that the gap between the two strokes begins to close. Use the wordmark for tight chrome rather than scaling the mark down.
- Clear space is half the cap height
- Measured from the wordmark. Anything closer and the lockup starts reading as part of whatever it sits next to.
